WELCOME TO CONVENE SF: A new upscale venue in our backyard

After many years without a new, large-scale event venue opening in San Francisco, Convene has opened 65,000 square feet of meeting space over two floors.  A global brand that has well-established, beautifully appointed meeting rooms with built-in catering all over the world, Convene’s latest addition is on the edge of Union Square, close to the Financial district and Moscone Center at 100 Stockton Street in San Francisco.

“San Francisco has been needing a turnkey event space at this scale for years,” reports Wendy Cook, Head of Production, Trademark). “Given the frequent meeting needs of tech, biotech, healthcare and financial organizations who want to host locally, this Convene was worth waiting for.”

The Trademark team dropped in to Convene’s recent inaugural reception. This space is impressive – particularly on the AV front, thanks to their in-house operations team, who are ready to consult with event planners worldwide. “Unlike most Convenes which have projectors, this Convene has beautiful LED screens in its meeting spaces,” noted Wendy.

Perhaps the bigger story here is that San Francisco – a city hit particularly hard by the pandemic and the remote-work trend – is welcoming in-person meeting spaces again.

“Convene has witnessed strong demand for premium meeting spaces in San Francisco; the city is consistently among the top requested expansion markets by our existing clientele,”

Brian Holland, Vice President of Real Estate at Convene.

Well, Mr. Holland, we’re inclined to believe your assessment. Wendy Cook offers some more color here: “The cost of our real estate has resulted in a loss of venues – so it’s nice to have a new one on the scene! Welcome, Convene SF!” Welcome, indeed!
