Every epicurean knows Taste of Potrero as the event for discovering the Bay Area’s best food and drink. A benefit for the Daniel Webster school, the event has been held annually for nine years and has hosted over 10,000 attendees.
The planning committee reached out to Trademark for support in moving to a new venue. Embarked with our production chops and passion for the local food scene, Trademark stepped in to take care of permitting, branding, logistics, and vendor coordination. This freed up space for the committee to focus on selling tickets and handling key restaurants and sponsors.
For the last two years, the festival took place at the Midway, a 40,000 square foot creative complex located in the burgeoning Dogpatch neighborhood. Utilizing both indoor and outdoor spaces, we developed a layout to maximize the presence of the nearly one hundred participating vendors. The indoor space offered a cocktail party vibe, with vibrant lights, a live DJ, small bites, and innovative libations from Trick Dog, Seven Stills, and Hardwood Bar & Smokery.
Outside, food trucks lined up and a live band played. From breweries both new and established, including Harmonic, Triple Voodoo, and Laughing Monk, craft beer was abundant. Guests seeking heartier fare could sample piping hot wood-fired pizza from Piccino or fried chicken from The Bird. Humphry Slocombe and Black Jet Baking Co. offered sweet treats, and Christopher Elbow showed off their finest chocolates—the perfect way to end a night of San Francisco’s very best food and drink.
The event was a resounding success, and the festival committee much appreciated how Trademark was able to lift some weight off their shoulders.
While these types of large-scale, in-person events are currently on hiatus, they might be back sooner than we think. Let Trademark step in and ease the process of gathering in person again for your company. Contact us today.
